All-new Astra Leads 2016 Opel Line-Up at Dubai International Motor Show

Dubai, 10 November 2015: The all-new Opel Astra was unveiled today, leading a line-up of new efficient Opel models at the Dubai International Motor show. The new Astra, designed to redefine mid-sized luxury, features state of the art German engineering, a first in class Intellilux LED matrix headlight system, premium class interior and new exterior design.

Opel also revealed its full line up of new 2016 models, including the Opel Astra Hatchback, the new Opel Mokka, the Opel Corsa OPC, the Corsa Color Edition and the Insignia Sports Tourer. In the latest GTC variant, the Astra delivers an output of 170 horsepower and a torque of 230Nm while adding the convenience of an automatic transmission.

The regional premier of the new 2016 Mokka, a midsized compact SUV, also took place today. Meeting the most stringent exhaust requirements, the family crossover features a super-efficient 1.4L turbocharged fuel-centered engine that produces an output of 140 horsepower.

The new Corsa OPC packs a four-cylinder, 1.6-litre turbo-charged 207 horsepower engine delivering up to 245Nm of torque, and throttling it from 0-100 km/h in 6.8 seconds with a top speed of 230 km/h.  A special edition, the unique Corsa Color Edition is also on display and is available in a choice of six brilliant exterior colors, black 17-inch alloy wheels, a blacked-out grill and chromed exhaust tips, with the interior finished in shiny piano lacquer.

With estate car versatility, dynamic performance and outstanding interior capacity and flexibility, the 2016 Insignia Sports Tourer is available with a direct-injection turbocharged 1.6L engine delivering 170 horsepower and featuring start-stop. The 6 speed automatic transmission also features ActiveSelect® for sequential shifting.
